The main objective of the meeting will be to discuss the latest evidence on urban-rural relationships and to develop a joint position on the topic from a metropolitan perspective. This will be done in the context of a forthcoming Commission Communication on 'Developing a long-term vision for rural areas', and of the European Green Deal. 

We will also discuss internal affairs, with particular attention to the election of a new WG chair, and the relevance of the New European Bauhaus for metropolitan areas.
